Visual Arts Training for Teachers in the GTA and Toronto

We provide hands-on practical workshops for teachers who want to teach art lessons in the classroom in Toronto and the GTA

Do you need some creative, fun ideas for your art instruction in your program? We offer visual arts training for teachers and educators in Toronto and the GTA. We are contracted to train teachers in delivering the art curriculum by the TDSB and the TCDSB. We provide teachers with the knowledge, skills and confidence to teach fun, sophisticated art lessons in their classrooms!

Workshops focus on these key aspects

Ideal for Certified Teachers, Artist Educators, Camps Counselors and Daycare Workers!

Through hands-on projects and activities, teachers will gain practical experience and numerous ideas and teaching methods to bring back to their classrooms and communities.

• Using art as a vehicle to build critical thinking and problem-solving for students.

• Understanding how to meet the Ontario Ministry of Education Learning Outcomes for Visual Art

• Employing practical strategies for sourcing sustainable and affordable art-making materials. 

• Applying progressive arts pedagogy into practical and easy steps for any lesson design

Using hands-on studio-based methods, this workshop will train participants in teaching art. It will allow them to experiment with various aspects of visual arts while using tactile, inspiring materials with easily accessible instruction. Using local artists as inspiration, our instructors will give you the confidence to integrate art into all levels of your programming!

We welcome administrator bookings for PD days, teachers’ colleges, artist-educator groups, or groups of teachers at a school.
